Sports Massage

Sports massage is a special form of massage and consists of specific components designed to reduce injuries, alleviate inflammation, provide warm-up, etc. typically used by amateur and professional athletes before, during, after athletic events and within their training regimens. Sports massage can assist recovery from an injury that has already occurred. 

Sports massage in contrast to relaxation massage is more vigorous to stimulate circulation allowing greater blood to the muscles for optimal performance.  After exercise, the massage will assist in the removal of toxins (lactic acids) that build up in the muscles during exercise.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. It is used through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain.

It is important to drink plenty of water after a deep tissue massage to help eliminate toxins released from the body after the massage.

Deep tissue massage helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.  It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.  Deep tissue massage help restructure the body and improve posture.  Deep tissue massage helps break up and eliminate scar tissue.  It helps with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation and inflammation-related pain.

The purpose of deep tissue massage is to "release" the fibers of the muscle while letting go any deeply-held patterns of tension.  It is both corrective and therapeutic.  It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.

Facial MassageFacial Massage

Just like any other form of massage, facial massage relieves tension, promotes relaxation and restores energy to your face and body by increasing circulation. When you first wake up in the morning you may notice that your skin looks puffier and paler than it did the night before. This is because during sleep, circulation is decreased in the body—which means there is less blood flow to the face.

Facial massage is a great way to get the blood flowing again and to achieve a healthy glow. Regular facial massages also work to tighten and lift the facial muscles, giving the skin a more youthful appearance. It's no wonder it has been called an anti-aging treatment!
